Hi, I stumbled upon this site searching the net for a grief counselor. I am thinking of seeing one after being told by countless people I need to go. Almost a year and a half ago I lost my sister and brother-in-law in a house fire. They had their kids and my daughter with them on vacation. All the kids made it to safety ( thanks to my sister and her husband), but I still struggle with it everyday. I feel I can't talk to my parents about it because they have been through so much and now have custody of their 9 year old son. To make matters worse my dad was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer six months after my sister and brother-in-law died.

Ken, that must have been horribly frightening to lose your sister & brother-in-law,and almost lose you child. I lost my sister just over a month ago. We lost out parents approximately 18 years ago, in separate incidents. And earlier this we year our last remaining Grandmother. My family tree has no more branched.

I'm terribly sorry for both of your losses, they are tragic and grieving is personal&takes time.i do suggest counseling for you ken, especially now with your poor dad,you need to try it at least&give it a chance, you have&are going thru so much inside,it is normal&wont be forever counseling, but @this time you need to do this for yourself,u deserve it&to heal a bit.💗
